The Big Tease (December 22, 2007)

She was a muddy river
I wanted to drown in
Feel the pain of her silt in my lungs
Watch her overflow her banks
Flooding all visible land
Her current grasping me
Pulling me down into her
Up at her source
She was a tender trickle
Gentle in the way she stroked my body
As her distance increased
Growing bolder more playful
Unaware of her gathering strength
As her rapids tossed me
Flung me
Chided my brashness
Daring me
Coaxing me to take a chance
Scraping me body over
Rocks sharpened by erratic erosion
Drawing my blood to join her
Opening painful compound fractures
Clouding my eyes with effluvia
Wrested from her floor
She delighted in embracing me
In this violent dance
I wanted her to take me
Possess me
Use me until I had no strength
Until she coughed me from her depths
And I lay barely conscious
Gasping
Struggling
Fading
Vanishing
