THE ECONOMY

Yeah, the economy’s great. We can no longer afford to raise our own children. What an arrogant illusion to perpetrate on society that truly is not afraid to work to better itself. And yet, our government smugly continues to retrieve inalienable rights under the guise of a good economy. So, it sags.

Any democratic society deserves the right of freedom, infrastructure, health and education. The ultimate irony is that it is cost effective to do this. But, it is not done for petty power reasons which will only inevitably lead us into revolution. There is absolutely no reason why we can’t have a “have and have” society where even the so called “have nots” are guaranteed the dignity of at least a chance to better themselves!
